Refund and Replacement Policy

Here's how things work after your parcel turns up, in the order they happen, including the two situations where you get a new item from us at no cost.

The short answer first: Wear Happy Project® doesn't refund orders, it replaces them. Everything below explains how and when.

  • 0 returns. You never post anything back.
  • 3 photos needed to make a claim
  • 30 days of no delivery, then you're owed a free replacement

Step by step, from delivery day

  1. When it arrives, check the contents

In practice, nearly every order is done at this point. Only two situations take things further, and it saves time to work out which applies to you before you contact us.

  2. Path one: you got a different product

"Incorrect item" has a narrow meaning here: the item that arrived is totally different to the listing on our website. If you order a pair of jeans and get a set of earrings, or you order one product and receive another one entirely, that's our mistake and we'll fix it.

What you get: a replacement order matched to your original choice of shipping speed. Don't send anything back. Keep what you received.

  3. Path two: 30 days and still nothing

Three conditions apply: you're 30 days past your purchase date, nothing has arrived, and the tracking status does not read delivered. Meet all three and the replacement is free. No photos required, since you've got nothing to photograph.

What you get: a replacement order at the original's shipping speed. There's one exception, covered next.

  4. Exception: the carrier says delivered and it's not there

Once tracking on the carrier's website (USPS, Canada Post, whoever is handling it) says delivered, the 30-day policy doesn't cover it. A logged delivery moves the parcel into the carrier's hands and out of ours.

Call or visit your closest post office and have the tracking number ready. Parcels marked delivered are very often kept at the branch, handed over next door, or put somewhere else on the premises. If it's still missing after that, email support@wearhappyproject.com and pass on what the post office said.

  5. Anything else: right item, not what you want

A lot of work goes into what we stock. The team handling product research spends real time choosing items based on current market demand, current trends and a track record of selling well, and that's all done long before anything reaches the site.

We'd ask you to understand where we're coming from. A business our size has significant overheads, so it's on the customer to do their homework on a purchase and make certain it's a fit for their needs ahead of ordering.

We understand it's frustrating, but the operational costs have already been paid out by that point. Every order is a final sale and we don't issue refunds.

Incorrect item or not? How we decide

  • Incorrect, so we replace it: the product that arrived is from a completely different category than your order. You ordered a hoodie and got a belt. You ordered mascara and got lipstick. The box obviously holds something other than what you saw listed.
  • Not incorrect, so no replacement: you got the correct item, and it simply doesn't match the feel you had in mind. Say a weighted piece strikes you as not weighted, or you think your size large runs like a small.

Why the line is drawn there: as a small operation, we put serious effort into exhaustive product pages, so you have all the detail required to decide if an item is a fit, and to skip ordering if it's not right for you or won't cover your needs. So if we shipped the correct item, nothing gets replaced.

Is it actually late? Check this first

Usually it isn't. These are standard delivery times. US orders: 7 business days at the earliest, 20 at the latest. International: 10 at the earliest, 25 at the latest. Start counting at dispatch, not at the order date.

  • Saturday and Sunday aren't business days, so leave them out when you count.
  • Long gaps in tracking within those windows are normal. Some carriers' routes skip scanning entirely until delivery day.
  • For the free replacement, the 30-day clock is different: it runs from the day you paid, regardless of ship date.

For every window, US and international, free and expedited, check our shipping policy.

Making a replacement claim

  1. Photograph the item three times. Use three angles, and daylight where it's possible. Nothing speeds up a replacement more, and it only takes a couple of minutes.
  2. Email them in. Address them to support@wearhappyproject.com. Put the order number in, along with the checkout address.
  3. We set up the replacement. Shipping matches the speed on your original order. A fresh confirmation arrives by email, and a tracking number when it leaves.
  4. Don't return the original. Once the replacement order is created, the incorrect item stays where it is, with you.

For 30-day claims: skip the photos. The order number is enough, plus your confirmation that tracking doesn't show it delivered.

Anything else

Email support@wearhappyproject.com and quote your order number. We'll handle the rest.
